Cubicle is a very competitive company, and we compiled four virtues you'll need to succeed and climb your way up the corporate hierarchy. Cubicle only wants the best and brightest; if you follow these guidelines, you'll be the next top supervisor.
-
Take the initiative. Is your manager struggling to keep up with a competing business? All’s fair in love and business, and indeed, your manager would be relieved to be rid of all the stress of competition. A vague letter here, some cold calling there, and you’re on your way to a big bonus at the end of the year.
-
Grow your leadership skills. Your manager is looking for someone who not only does their job but can tell everyone else how to do theirs. Be sure to point out where your coworkers can improve whenever you have the chance. They’re sure to appreciate your expert guidance, especially when you’re unfamiliar with their work. A view from the outside is incredibly valuable.
-
Gain control of the narrative. There are a lot of people in consideration for that promotion, and each candidate will surely do everything they can to get that promotion. Get a leg up with your coworkers by spreading rumors about the other candidates. Make something up if you must, but if they’re true, all the better! The only thing better than proving yourself is disproving everyone else.
-
Utilize the tools available to you. Here at Cubicle, we have a number of resources available to our employees, including our wonderful Incentive system. Take advantage of what you've been provided and put all that time you could be wasting doing your assigned tasks to good use instead. those important merger documents look mighty flammable, and your coworker is out to lunch.
So get off that first rung of the corporate ladder and climb to the top with these skills! Maybe you'll have the chance to look down on everyone else with our corporate overlords.
